Michal Bouška is a Czech cinematographer who has found a love for consuming the visual feed around him from an early age. Whether it was the multiple VHS re-runs of the world's 90s blockbusters, or the older, but all the more sensitive and even truer films of the Czechoslovak New Wave. And he began to form his own unique view of the world, to which he later decided to contribute and began studying at the photography school in Brno and then at the department of DoP at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, where he had time to grow in his experiences and experiment with his own ways. Already during his studies, he seamlessly transitioned into his professional career and chose Prague as his base. During his more than a decade-long career, he has had the privilege to participate, as a cinematographer, mainly on automotive commercials for global brands such as Skoda, BMW, Audi and many others. He then began to transfer his experience into other areas of TV commercials, music videos and TV series. He has developed his own style based on the authenticity of "run and gun" shots, behind which is a careful preparation that transforms the shots into a sophisticated way of storytelling using meaning, light, colour and movement. He feels it is important to follow global trends, but he also wants to put his own ideas into them, using the latest technology to transform them and allow him to grasp the visual world the way he wants to.
